Overview

Achaea, Dreams of Divine Lands is a long-running text-based multiplayer roleplaying game (MUD) set in the vast fantasy world of Sapience, where players create highly customizable characters and shape their lives through exploration, combat, politics, trade, religion, and roleplay. Rather than relying on graphics, Achaea presents its world entirely through richly written descriptions and player commands, allowing adventurers to join cities and Houses, master unique classes and skills, hunt dangerous creatures, pursue professions, participate in complex player-driven conflicts, worship powerful Divine beings, and develop lasting relationships and rivalries with other characters. Much of the world's story is influenced by its players, making Achaea less like a traditional RPG with a predetermined campaign and more like a persistent, evolving fantasy world in which your character can forge their own identity, reputation, allegiances, and story.
