Im 31 pages in... and just now getting to the story. 31 pages of character updates/overviews. I feel like i just read a genealogy in the bible. Not a great start, would have been better to just put that in the back of the book if you chose to reference it.

They got Caspian back, which is great! but I also know we are halfway through the book, which means something bad is gonna happen soon lol. 🥹 So far I'm not as pulled into this book, its giving very filler energy. Maybe because we were led to this moment basically the whole series of Caspian being taken over by the green flame.. and it just feels anticlimactic? I'm not sure... But it's so far probably one of my least favorite books of the series. However, I again... am only halfway through, so we shall see!!!

Review

So, this is definitely not my favorite book in the series. I think for the Power of the Green Flame being the huge baddie the entire series, it was anticlimactic, and a bit disappointing.

Also, I didnt like the ending of this book. It was sad and just blah. I get that's probably the point to have no Hope, and to wonder how can they come back from such utter defeat and loss?

I'm really nervous about the next and final book in the series. I am scared that it will feel not complete, or that it wont feel like the right ending? If that makes any sense. Im sad the series is ending, but im scared I won't like how it ends.
