Zettelkasten & Obsidian Workflow for Busy People
# Zettelkasten: The Zettelkasten (German for "slip-box") is ==a Personal Knowledge Management and note-taking method designed for long-term research, writing, and thinking==. It relies on creating small, interconnected Atomic Notes—one idea per card—linked together to form a networked web of knowledge, rather than hierarchical folders
Invented by Niklas Luhmann a Sociologist.
Obsidian is a great choice for Zettelkasten because it’s private, local, and timeless. The backlinks also work as a great tool for Zettelkasten.
3 Types of Folders
1. Fleeting Notes - (Inbox)raw, messy, spontaneous, unprocessed thoughts 2. Reference Notes - (books, podcasts, articles, videos, quotes, movies)these are notes on things you didn’t write, but you consumed 3. Permanent Notes - (Creation)a collection of insights. Fully processed, connected, atomic, and in your own voice. Short and to the point. Focus notes on one topic.
