✦ Creating My Digital Garden
So for the past week I have fallen down the rabbit hole of creating a digital garden. Mainly because I started using Obsidian again, and it seems like a lot of people use Obsidian and either the Digital Garden Plugin, or Quartz to host their gardens.
Originally, I used the Digital Garden myself, and it worked fine, but I really wanted to be able to make it look more personal, and stand out from everyone else's gardens. They all kind of had the same layout and vibe to them.
I thought about tyring Quartz instead, but it was a too complicated for me. Since I know how to build websites, and I already used Neocities for another personal site, I thought why can't I combine my love of the indie web, web design, and digital gardens all in one?
I knew that it wouldn't be as fluid, as clicking publish on an obsidian note and it immediatly going live. However, I don't really mind having to manually update it. It acts as a way for me to revist the notes I have made, and really think about them a bit more.
This isn't something that is going to ever truly be finished. It's something that will grow and evolve with time. Slowly building up a system, and what I want my digital garden to be. So, yes this isn't like every other digital garden out there. But it's mine, and it has me excited to be in this space.
