✦ Session 3 - Among Dust and Secrets
Session 2 Recap
Ivy continues her first day in Cozy Hollow by visiting the warm and plant-filled Town Hall, where she meets Bingus, the town ferryperson, who is unable to identify the mysterious sender of her letter but recognizes the abandoned farmhouse it describes and offers to lead her there. Along the overgrown trail, Bingus introduces Ivy to more of the surrounding countryside, including a dangerous bear cave and a beautiful crystal-blue lake fed by a cascading waterfall where the townsfolk often fish, swim, and picnic. When they finally reach Ivy's new property, she discovers that the farmhouse has fallen into serious disrepair, with an overgrown yard, broken window, and partially sunken roof that may force her to camp outside while she works on repairs. Despite the daunting amount of work ahead, Ivy chooses to see the property's potential and the opportunity to make it truly her own, earning a hint of respect from Bingus for her optimism. Before returning to their duties in town, Bingus reminds Ivy that she has people and resources available if she needs help and tells her where they live near the cliff face. Left alone on her overgrown new property, Ivy's fresh start in Cozy Hollow finally begins to feel real, even as the mystery of who summoned her there remains unanswered.

1. Farmhouse Cleanup
Ivy with her hands on her hips, nods to to no one in particular, "Right, let's get started then." Though the work ahead seems daunting, she isn't one to shy away from hard work, or one to sit still for too long. She begins to clear some of the fallen wooden boards, pull up weeds that have grown through the floor, and trash left behind.

- +1 Day Tick
Ivy manages to make good progress clearing up the debris in and around the farmhouse. However, a few stubborn weeds, and some heavy pieces of fallen wood, make the work go a lot slower then she had planned for. "I really need to visit town tomorrow and grab some tools," her breath heavy as she wipes droplets of sweat from her brow.
2. Clue Hunting!
After a much needed break sitting under the shade of an old oak tree, pleased with the work she has managed to complete so far, she decides to take a closer look at the farmhouse. "Well, at least it seems to have good bones, just needs a little tender love and care," smiling up at the house, and giving the doorframe a good pat.
Looking around the now cleared out house, she could see just how much needed to be repaired. "One thing at a time..." she thought to herself, letting out a small huff before walking into the house. The house itself is more like a old cottage. The cobblestone on the exterior covered in moss and vines. The inside has a main living area, small kitchen, one bathroom, and a humble bedroom. At least that's what she pictured them to be. Most of the furniture had to be cleared out due to damage. The hearth was home to a birds next, and she didn't have the heart to clear it out. The kitchen wasn't too bad, some cabinets were off their hinges, and a few floor planks were lifting, but overall wasn't too bad. She could definitely see the potential. Now it was time to really search, and see if she could find any clues as to who exactly sent the letter.

- Oracle: Random Item (Wearable) Round Colored Sunglasses
- Oracle: Random Item (Random) A Copy of Starforged
Ivy spent some time rummaging around the kitchen, but only managed to find a few mice making their home in one of the pantries. The living room was only home to some dust mites. When she got to the bathroom she had to plug her nose, and flush the water before scrubbing that clean. "No way I'm using that unless it's crystal clean", scrubbing the sink and mirror while she was at it.
However, when she got to the bedroom, one of the end tales was still in pretty good condition. Curious she opened the drawer, and to her surprise there was an old pair of round sunglasses, and a copy of Starforged. "Hmm, I wonder if this was the previous owners?" Retrieving the items, she placed them in her satchel, and continued to look around the room. Unfortunately, she didn't find anything else, mind a few beetles hiding out under a loose floor board.
3. Forage Finds
After another spout of work, Ivy was spent. Looking down at her clothes, they were filthy. She was covered in dust, dirt, and who knows what else. As if that wasn't enough, a low rumble sounded from her stomach. "Right, I should probably scrounge up some food." Ivy had some freshly-baked cookies left in her satchel that her mother packed her before she left, and some cheap wine she was saving for later. But, looking around Ivy was surrounded by beautiful forest, there had to be some yummy things to forage for with it being Spring-time.

- Strong Hit! + 2 Resource
As Ivy walks through the nearby forest, she is met with the sound of birdsong, frogs croaking in a nearby creek, and the rustle of the leaves. She closes her eyes for a moment taking in the cool breeze, "This is so much better then the city... Not too far from the cottage is she discovers a patch of blueberries,"Woah! that's so cool! I better make sure I leave some for the local wildlife though."
After picking a few berries from the bush, she heads back to the oak tree from earlier and sits down. Opening up her satchel she grabs the freshly baked cookies, and the blueberries she found. A nice little energy boosting snack," she gives a satisfied nod of her head before enjoying her treats.
4. A Cozy Shelter
Once Ivy finishes her snack, and has had a moment to rest, she starts to feel just how tired and sore her body already is from today's hard work. "A nap would be lovely right now, but the way these clouds look, I'm not sure I trust it for temporary shelter," she parses her lips while looking at the grey sky above her head. As much as she was eager to move into her new home, the roof still had a hole in it, and the bed was broken. "Right, I guess I should come up with some sort of temporary shelter."

- Strong Hit w/ Doubles!
Looking around, hands on her hips she is surrounded by plenty of fallen branches, as well as things she pulled out of the cottage. "Well, I have plenty to work with at least! I'm sure I can come up with something," smiling she begins grabbing an armful of branches from the ground. Searching through the rubble she manages to find an old quilt that is still in pretty good condition, mind the dirt and a few holes, it should help create some sort of barrier from the ground. There is also an old sofa cushion that has seen better days, but would work for a pillow for now. Gathering up her finds, she manages to put together a small lean-to shelter under the large oak tree, laying the quilt down on the floor with the cushion she found. "There we go, not too bad, lets just hope nothing decides to seek shelter with me tonight," Ivy lets out a nervous giggle.

- Oracle: Focus Villain
- Oracle: Descriptor Ancient
- Oracle: Random Date Fall 18
- Oracle: Fantastical Ancestry Elementkin, Fire
While Ivy rummages through the rubble she pulled from the cottage, she manages to stumble upon a very worn journal. Opening the journal and carefully flipping the torn and wrinkled pages, she reads a scratchy entry that looks as if it was written with a lot of emotion.
Fall 18
*The fog came again this morning.
It covered the house before sunrise, thick enough that I couldn't see the trees beyond the garden. The strange thing is that the road was perfectly clear. Even the fields nearby were untouched. It was as though the fog had chosen this place.
I know what people say about the old stories. I used to laugh at them too. But something ancient remembers this land, and I fear it has begun to stir again.
Perhaps being Fire Elementkin makes me foolish, but every instinct in me says the same thing: when the fog comes, do not let the fire go out.
I only hope there is still time to put things right.
Ivy closes the journal, a shiver making it's way down her spine. "Well, that's not exactly comforting." Looking back up to the cloud filled sky, the rustling of the trees don't feel as whimsical anymore. Could there really be some sort of Ancient Spirit in this place?" Her eyes scan the tree line, but nothing catches her eye, for now it seems all is well. "Well, at least I learned one thing, whoever left this journal behind is a Fire Elementkin." Placing the journal safely in her satchel, she makes a note to herself to keep an eye out for a Fire Elementkin the next time she visits town.

- Wild Crop (1) + 1 Day tick
- Oracle: Spring Crops Lettuce
Not wanting to waste the little daylight she has left, and her stomach not fully sated, Ivy decides to put her big girl pants on and head back into the nearby woods. After reading the journal entry, she has her wits about her, and is a bit tense. Constantly looking over her shoulder, and not fully paying attention to the task at hand. It takes her awhile before she manages to find some wild lettuce growing a bit deeper in the forest.
Retracing her steps back to the cottage takes a bit longer then before, having gone a bit deeper into the woods, and loosing her place a bit. However, she manages to make her way back to the cottage just as the sky starts to darken. "Now is probably a good time to start a fire, and get comfy inside my shelter," she says in a hushed voice that is lost to the wind.
Gathering up more twigs, branches and some dry grass, she manages to make a nice little stack. Rubbing two of the twigs together quickly to cause a spark on the dry grass, a small ember appears. Not wanting it to go out, she gently blows the ember to life, placing it within her pile of twigs. Ivy continues to stoke the fire until it is a nice size, her eyelids heavy after such a long first day in Cozy Hollow. She has no time to be scared, or wonder about the Spirit mentioned in the journal entry. Her body is simply too tired, as she drifts to sleep. In all of the commotion, she completely forgot that tomorrow would be her birthday!
